SO Festival 2014, Saturday 5 July, Skegness.
Torvill and Dean won Olympic Gold with Bolero in Sarajevo 30 years ago. Join the celebrations as the people of the East Midlands pay tribute to Nottingham's finest sporting heroes through dance.

Dance4 are working in partnership with artsNK, Lincolnshire to develop Live Bolero in Skegness as part of  SO Festival 2014.

CALLING BUS DRIVERS, GYM MEMBERS, OFFICE WORKERS, PARENTS AT HOME, TEACHERS, NURSES AND CANDLESTICK MAKERS....WHOEVER YOU ARE, WHATEVER YOU DO, WE WANT YOU TO DO BOLERO!

A short, easy to follow video created by Jeanefer Jean-Charles, mass movement co-ordinator of the London 2012 ceremonies is now available. This video will teach you the simple choreography you need to practice for Live Bolero. Simply watch the dance sequence in the first part, then watch the instructions in the second part. No experience necessary! Learn it with a group or on your own, it's easy and fun however you do it.

  • Workshop – Learn the Live Bolero ending 12.00 – 13.00
  • Learn the Live Bolero ending from the video at workshops being held in Skegness Compass Gardens between 12.00 – 13.00.
  • Pop up performances 13.00 – 14.00
  • Live Bolero Performace 14.00

Pop up performances will happen in three locations across Skegness at St.Hildred's Shopping Centre, Tower Gardens and at the Jolly Fisherman statue, Compass Gardens. Youth and adult dance groups will show their very own versions of Live Bolero either in Street Dance, Contemporary and Zumba/Samba styles.


Come and join groups from across Lincolnshire in the mass performance of Live Bolero at 14.00 at Tower Gardens.
