Gemma Latimer Illustrates Our New Home
Gemma has created the collage in support of our fundraising campaign to help us move into a new home in summer 2016.
Using layering and mixing blocks of colour with photography, Gemma has designed a beautiful image that encompasses all that we were, are and plan to be and that represents the story of the new space from how it currently looks to how it will look in the future.
Inspired by surrealism and abstraction, and working mostly by hand, Gemma creates collages through found imagery. Using deconstruction and juxtaposition, the illustration has a certain tangibility, a quality that cannot be captured by digital means alone. The hands-on artist has been perfect for this project, see below for a biog of Gemma Latimer’s work:
"My work has featured in ad campaigns, editorials and I’ve recently become a published co-author releasing my first adult colouring book (The Wallpaper Colouring Book). Clients include BAFTA, HTC, The Times, Marie Claire, Ted Baker, Classic FM, Octopus Publishing and The Radio Times amongst others. I also work as a Visiting Illustration Lecturer at Goldsmiths University of London, University of Hertfordshire and Northampton University."

We have been searching for a long-term home where we can do what we do well, with spaces that match the quality of our work and that of the artists we support. To see more information on the new space, Dance4's International Centre for Dance and Choreography, click here.
To help us raise the money needed to make the move into our new home, we are launching several campaigns that are mutually beneficial for us and you, so please do get involved! For more information, please click here.
