Near miss company

Louisa Robey, Shannon Coote & Lee Allatson

Present My Turn Now (working title); a duet between dance artist Louisa and percussionist musician Lee. Drawing from previous research and sections from Near Miss Company's piece 'RISK', this work looks to explore relationships between improvised movement and sound. The two performers cooperate, compete and challenge one another through a collection of improvisation-based scores and games, established spontaneously in the performance by both players.

scarlett turner

Presents Come As You Are, a solo piece that explores gender neutrality, obscure sexuality, personal identity, and self struggles of gender stereotypes, non-binary and pansexual identity. Through a timeline of her personal experiences, Scarlett's solo piece revisits her past from her younger self until now through contemporary dance, spoken word and live imagery. Come As You Are explores our right to embrace our own gender and sexuality.

jake bradnock

Presents several short solos that have been devised in the great outdoors (up hill, down dale, in mud, in hail) set to progressive rock, psychedelic and metal music. These solos will guide you through a chaotic soundscape.

Sunday Supplements are special events where you can have breakfast and share ideas in an informal atmosphere in which dance artists and performance-makers share works-in-progress and discuss their projects with you. Check out our other Sunday Supplements happening this season here.
