Dance4 diving in to local partnerships
SwimMorphosis was the culmination on Dance4 beginning to develop a relationship with local partners in Corby

Working with The Core at Corby Cube and Corby Borough Council the partnership looked at the legacy of a locally funded programme Dance2Educate.  Using Big Dance 2012 as a springboard for the initiative Dance4, The Core and Corby Borough Council embarked on finding an extraordinary artist to develop a ground breaking piece of dance for Corby's International Swimming Pool. The brief to bring together two of Corby's new and iconic spaces and bring local communities together in celebration.

As a result the partnership commissioned Northamptonshire based artist, Mikeal Marso Riviere to create SwimMorphosis.

SwimMorphosis was developed over the Summer of 2012 with professional dance artists, local schools, poets and profesional divers

The premiere of SwimMorphosis took place at Corby International Pool on 22nd September 2012
