Amstatten is an allegory on fear and confinment. A subliminal play that contrasts performer Louise Tanoto's inner psychological landscape with the imposition of a reduces and restricted physical space.

Accompanied by a stark and geometric lighting design by acclaimed lighting designer Guy Hoare "Amstetten" draws on stories of kidnapping and hostage situations taken from news reports over the past 30 years and presents the audience with a beautiful and disturbing representation of the resulting common elements.

Amstetton is currently available to tour in 2014

Supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Greenwich Dance, Escalato, The Place, Dance Digital, Trestle and Dance4.
