Sally and Lucy host Dance4's first Score Sunday, opening up the processes, rationales and challenges involved in how dance artists use scores to generate movement material for performance.

The day includes a practical workshop, sharing of performance works and a discussion. You will gain first hand experience of working with a score and develop your understanding of how to create your own to generate performance material.

Sally Doughty is an independent artist and Head of Dance at De Montfort University, Leicester where she leads the MA/MFA performance practices and MA Arts and superives Doctoral students. She has an established reputation as a facilitator and performer of improvisational practices and has choreographed and performed in USA, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Estonia and UK.

Current work includes the Body of Knowledge project with Rachel Krische and Lisa Kendall and Renaissance with Pete Shenton.

Lucy Suggate is a Dance Artist based in Yorkshire whose work has continued to gain visibility on national and international platforms since 2006.

Recent works incude Pilgrim, Swarm Sculptures, The Future Dancer, OK Future and she is currntly working on Ways of Seeing, Ways of Being.
