Ellesmere College (Leicester) nominated for Sports Award for Dance Programme

The nomination is to recognise the schools on-going commitment to developing dance provision both in school for its own pupils and schools in Leicester.   Ellesmere has made a commitment to dance and over the last 3 years has raised the profile of young disabled dancers and integrated dance opportunities through a programme of performances and events including opening the County Youth Games in 2010 and 2011 and performances at Mass Movement (County Youth Dance Platform for Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland) and Curve Theatre in 2010 and 2011.

We are recruiting a Creative Apprentice

Dance4’s first Apprentice, Sarah Maguire who finished the qualification in 2010 continues to have a successful career and recently returned to Dance4 on a contract as Assistant Producer.

Sarah commented:  “The Apprenticeship was a great way of getting hands-on experience in the arts sector as well as a wider understanding of the creative industries.”
