Graduates return to Dance4's Centre for Advanced Training for Progression Routes Event

Dance4’s Centre for Advanced Training scheme looks to equip students with the skills and knowledge to make informed choices about their futures in dance.

A great deal of this work is integrated into the regular programme of activity that all students undertake. However we also offer an additional number of opportunities to help support and advise students on the options available to them and prepare for applications and auditions.

Following on from the success of last years Progression Routes Event, Dance4’s CAT were able to offer this opportunity to students again this year. The event took place on Saturday 3 October at Djanogly Theatre, it was mainly aimed at students in Years 11, 12 and 13, but all students and parents were welcome to attend.

The event included a presentation about Further Education and Higher Education courses, open discussions with invited guests, including ex CAT students currently in full time training and professional dance artists working in the industry. Each guest shared their journey through dance and talked about the many different options available for pursuing a career in dance.

During their visit we had a chat with the previous CAT graduates about their experience with Dance4’s Centre for Advanced Training and what they been up to since they graduated.
