With both playfulness and seriousness, Matthias asks you to consider the possibility of experiencing movement as a kind of conjuring through ‘looping’: rhythmically repeating and gradually reshaping movement.

Presented as part of Pursuits of Happiness, a group exhibition at The Gallery, De Montford University, that looks at artworks through the lens of game play - bringing together a group of works that can all be ‘played’ in different ways by visitors. It includes an additional video performance from the Loop Atlas series, Loop Atlas IV, which unlike Loop Atlas II will be installed for the whole exhibition.

The Loop Atlas series proceeds from the scientific notion of the brain-body as a ‘prediction machine’, to consider the possibility of experiencing movement as a kind of conjuring – seeking knowledge of the unknown through movement.

Dont miss this special opportunity to see Matthias perform live.
